eLIGIBILITY

The playing eligibility criteria of any individual who wants to play wheelchair cricket must have the disability maybe wheelchair confined or can walk with the help of any assistive device, crutches, stick, caliper or any type of surgical shoes. Most commonly polio affected, accidental disability considered in this game participation. Spinal cord injury individuals considered in this game are limited due to their physical strength and condition. Wheelchair cricketers also assigned sports classification based on their disability and strength to balance the game between two teams at any level domestic or international defined by the technical committee of ICWC.

For partial paralysis, severe amputations, muscular dystrophy and other neurological condition and other severe physical disability players can be the participant of short format 5A Side & 7A Side game of indoor cricket by ICWC to compete together with the slogan “ Everyone’s Winner”.

Specially design modified and customize manual wheelchair used in wheelchair cricket in the light of players comfort and need. The 100% role of wheelchair in this game. In domestic or international all the wheelchairs must meet the requirement to ensure player safety and fairness. Usually light wheelchairs use in wheelchair cricket because of grassy grounds.
